The company features licensed Professional and Structural Engineers in 39 states, offering expertise in new construction, adaptive reuse, facility inspections, and construction administration. Magnus Engineering's approach centers on delivering innovative, cost-effective, and client-responsive solutions, empowering its multidisciplinary team to exceed expectations and build long-term partnerships with satisfied clients.  Jennifer Madlem, Managing Principal at Magnus Engineering, leads the firm’s strategic vision with a focus on long-term growth and strong industry partnerships. Her background as Director of Business Development at a regional structural engineering firm, combined with her experience as a nurse practitioner, gives her a unique perspective and a relationship-first approach that emphasizes client advocacy, precision, and successful delivery. Working alongside our engineering team, Jennifer helps transform structural concepts into built realities. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University Bloomington.  

 Troy Madlem, PE, MLSE, Principal at Magnus Engineering, brings nearly thirty years of structural engineering expertise in mission critical, advanced materials, and commercial construction. Licensed in over thirty states and holding specialized Structural Engineer credentials, he has served as president, chief structural engineer, and project manager in previous roles, overseeing complex projects across his career. A graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (BSCE, Structural Focus), Troy is recognized for advancing technical excellence through innovation and modern engineering tools. His client-focused, collaborative approach drives Magnus Engineering’s reputation for delivering high-impact solutions and exceeding expectations.
